This winery has a tasting room, wine cellar and restaurant that is open spring, summer and fall. Despite being close to a busy highway, the winery has a country feel to it that I tried to capture in my painting. My favorite part of the piece is the play of light and shadow on the ground beneath the stone wall. Also, I felt that the vines had an abstract movement all their own that I simply just had to capture.
To get to the winery, take Winston Exit 119 off Interstate 5 and go less than one half mile to Winery Lane.
